The youngest known Survivor of breast cancer is Atesha Hurter from Ontario, Canada at only three years old, Atesha underwent a complete mastectomy in 2010 to treat her juvenile strain of breast cancer. Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer after Skin cancer. It is the second reading cause of cancer death.
The  first operation to use an aesthesia was a breast cancer surgery. The incidence of breast cancer is highest in more developed countries and lowest in less developed countries. Breast Cancer affects the left breast slightly more than the right. The left breast is statistically more prone to developing cancer than the right breast. Scientist are not sure why.
In the us, an average of 112 women die of breast cancers every day, or one every 15 minute. The first recorded mastectomy for breast occurred in 548AD on Theodora, empress of byzantine.
Only 5-10% of breast cancers occur in women who have a genetic predisposition for it. However, women with the gene mutation run a lifetime risk as high as 4 in 5 of developing the disease. The risk of developing ovarian cancer also rises to 2 in 5 .When breast cancer spreads beyond the breast, it is said to be "metastatic" The most common places breast cancer spread to are the bones, liver and lungs. There is currently 2.5 million breast cancer survivor living in the United States.
During 2002-2006, 95% of new cases and 97% of breast cancer death occurred in women 40 years and older. The biggest single risk factor for breast cancer is age. Currently, about 1 in 3,000 pregnant or lactating women will develop breast cancer. Research has shown that once a women has been diagnosed  with breast cancer during pregnancy, her chances of survival are less than a non-pregnant woman. Women age 40 and above should have severing mammograms every 1 to 2 years.

          Help on breast cancer prevention
It has been estimated that if every woman over the age of 50 had her yearly mammogram, breast cancer deaths in this age group would drop 25% or more. Breast cancer in men is rare, accounting for approximately 1% of breast cancer rates in the U.S nearly 400 men die breast cancer each year.

Risk of Breast cancer
Risk factor for male breast include age, B R C A gene mutations, Kline fetter's syndrome testicular disorders, family history of female breast cancer, severe liver disease, radiation exposure, being treated with estrogen-related drugs, and  obesity.
The risk for breast cancer increase when a woman has been using HRI for more than five years. the largest risk is when both estrogen and progesterone are given together. women who have G hysterectomy and are taking pills containing estrogen alone are at less of risk.
            Myth about breast Cancer
One myth about cancer is that a person's risk increased only when there are affected relatives on the mother's side of the family. However, the father side of the family is equally important an assessing breast cancer risk. One study found that exposure to ethylene oxide, a fumigant used to sterilize medical experiment, is associated with higher breast cancer risk among women who work in commercial sterilization facilities. Nurses who work night shifts and flight, attendants who have circadian disruption have a higher rate of breast cancer. The international agency for research on cancer recently concluded that shift work especially at night, is carcinogenic to humans.
The most common type of breast cancer(70%) originates in the breasts ducts, and is known as duct al carcinoma. Approximately 1.2 million cases of breast cancer are diagnosed around the world each year. About 75% are found in women over age 50. Multivitamins have been linked to increased breast cancer risk.
The American journal of clinical nutrition reports a higher risk of breast cancer in women who take multivitamins.

Help on breast cancer, prevention
Research has found that pomegranates help prevent breast cancer. Chemicals called ellagitamins block the production of estrogen, which can fuel some types of breast cancer.
Studies report that breast cancer patients with diabetes were nearly  50%  more likely to die than those who didn't have diabetes long term survivors who were treated with radiation before 1984 have much higher rates of death due to heart disease. Those who gained weight in adolescence or after menopause are at risk.
Body fat composition in the upper body also increases the risk. On average, it takes 100 days or more for a cancer to double in size. it takes about 10 years for cells to divide to size that can be actually felt. Notable women that have been diagnosed with cancer.
American movie star, Cynthia Nixon( diagnosed in 2006 at 40 ), sherly crow(2006 at 44) kylie minoque( 2005 at 36), Elizabeth Edward (2004 at 55), Christina Applegate(2008 at 36) etc.
History figures include Mary Washington (mother of George Washington) Empress Theodora( mother of Louis the XIV)

Ancient description of breast cancer
Breast cancer was one of the first cancer to be described by ancient physicians. For example physicians in ancient Egypt describe breast cancer more than 3,500 years ago. One surgeon describes "buking" tumors in the breast of which "there is no care in 400B.C. Hippocrates describes breast cancer a humoral disease caused by black bile or melancholia. He labeled cancer Karakinos meaning "Crab" because the tumors seemed to have tentacles which looted like the leg of crab. To disapprove the theory that breast cancer was caused by an imbalance of the four body humors, namely an excess bile, French physician jean Astrue(1684-1766) cooked a slice of breast cancer tissue and a slice of beef and chewed both. He said that because they tasted exactly the same, breast cancer does not contain bile or acid. Some physicians throughout history have proposed that breast cancer was caused by several factors, including lack of sex which caused reproductive organ such as the breast to atrophy and rot.
Other suggested that 'Vigorous sex' block lymphatic system, that depression restricted blood vessel and trap coagulated blood and that a sedentary lifestyle slowed bodily fluids .jerome urban  (1914-1991)  who practised the super radical mastectontony in 1949 ,would not only the breast and auxillary nodes in but also the chest muscles and internal mammary nodes  in a single procedure often on patients who have tumoursless than a centimeter large .he stopped in 1963when he became convinced it worked not better than the multilating radical mastectomy.
Some Related Causes of Breast Cancer
Studies shows that social isolation and stress can increase the speed act which breast cancer tumor grows in animal models.
Researchers speculate that left handed women are more prone to developing breast cancer because they are exposed to higher level of certain steroid hormones in the womb.
Not all lumps that are found in the breast are cancerous but may be fibrocystic breast condition (disease)which is benign (visit a doctor if found).

3.        Olive oil- Another reason to reach for extra-virgin olive oil, when researchers in Barcelona gave rats with breast cancer a diet in which fat came predominantly from extra-virgin olive oil (versus corn oil), they found that the olive oil's antioxidants and oleic acid( a mono-unsaturated fat) quelled growth of malignant cells
4.        Parsley- university of Missouri scientists found that this herb can actually inhibit cancer-cell growth Animals that were given apigenin, a compound abundant in parsley(and in celery), boosted their resistance to developing cancerous tumors.
Experts recommend adding a couple pinches of minced fresh parsley to your dishes daily.

After 34 days the growth rate of tumors in the walnut eaters was half that of the miles who ate no walnut ,experts thinks walnut anti inflammatory properties which could come from the omega-3 fat alpha lilangeni acid, phytosterol or anti oxidant may give them their tumor fighting potential. "Walnuts can be part of a healthy diet that can reduce your risk for cancer" according to head researcher Elaine Hardman, Ph.D.
